A powerhouse cast  that includes Adèle Exarchopoulos (Blue Is the Warmest Colour) and Gilles Lellouche (Kompromat and many others) headlines this compelling drama about France’s Restorative Justice program The program brings together crime victims and offenders in a controlled environment for open dialogue and this film follows multiple  stories, in which six characters, three offenders and three victims, cautiously take part in this process.

That's inside a prison.  Outside of prison, Chloe, (the extraordinary Exarchopoulos-who won the French Oscar for her role here) pursues a face-to-face with her brother who committed offences against her when they were both young.

The program is overseen by a dedicated group of mediators who are looking for the best outcomes for both victims and their perpertraitors. It's a deeply rewarding film. One of the best in this years Festival by quite some margin.

Writer/director Jeanne Herry (In Safe Hands) has delivered a real gem here, guiding characters on journeys of self-realisation and forgiveness in this intelligent and emotional film.

9 French Oscar nominations. Winner 1 French Oscar Adele Exarcgopoulos Best Supporting Actress
